Alabama Waterfalls
Alabama is a great state for finding waterfalls, and while there are plenty of major attractions, there are a lot of "out of the way" waterfalls here (mostly around Bankhead), and those are my favorite. I've only been to a few waterfalls here so far, but I plan to visit many more, but probably not for a few years.
Northeastern Alabama
DeSoto Falls
Description: DeSoto Falls ia an awesome waterfall that is easy to get to. As of yet, I've only been to the main overlook, but there are other overlooks to be found if you know where to look.
Hiking Description: From the parking area here (34.549182, -85.589700), head west and down a few concrete stairs. Shortly, you will be at the river, next to the large dam and the upper part of the falls. Contiue down the trail with the sketchy gaurdrail a very short distance to see the giant. The pool at the bottom is one of the biggest I've ever seen. I wonder how deep it is?

Grace's High Falls
Description: Grace's High Falls is the tallest waterfall in Alabama, and is impressive after rain. It's quite a ways away from the overlook (photo is highly zoomed in), but it is still nice. It may be possible to get to the base somehow, but you'll have to find those directions elsewhere.
Hiking Description: Roadside access to achieve the view pictured. Parking: (34.357796, -85.677534).

Little River Falls
Description: Little River Falls is a massive and powerful waterfall nearby to other giants (above), and is accesable to all. I see no reason not to visit. The photo provided was taken after quite a lot of rain, but is still flows pretty heavily under normal conditions.
Hiking Description: It is a short walk down a boardwalk to the falls. Finding the parking area is easy, as it's massive and well signed. Enjoy!
