Waterfalls in Oklahoma
I've been to a whole of one waterfall in Oklahoma, and the only other falls I plan to visit is the enormously popular Turner Falls. Oklahoma just does not have very many falls, but these two are both very impressive, and worth seeking out.
Natural Falls
Description: Natural Falls is a towering waterfall in a state of few waterfalls. Currently, it’s the only waterfall I’ve been to in Oklahoma (although Turner Falls is still on my to do list). The hike is short, although it does have a fair bit of stairs. A fee is required to enter the park.
Hiking Description: Start from the parking lot at the east end of the park. There should be signs. Begin hiking south, following a wide trail with wide steps. This will lead to the main trail with a large sign saying “Visit Dripping Springs Scenic Waterfall”. Continue under this large sign, and the trail will wrap around to an overlook from the top of the falls. It is a nice view from the top, but if you’d like you can continue down around 100 stairs to the base of the falls. It’s not too bad. There are perfect views from down there.
